APOLOGIES:- Mark Barnes, Stephen Kaye, Robert Robinson

Due to lack of members in attendance for the re-scheduled AGM it was agreed to abandon Chambers Meeting and to reconvene on 20th May 2008 at 6.30pm, with no meeting in April 2008. There were not enough members present to hold an AGM!

Everyone in attendance felt saddened that more members did not attend the AGM and new members were not forthcoming. A decision on the future of Chamber will be made at the next meeting. In the mean time Margaret will contact existing members to express the importance of their presence at meetings to enable Chamber to continue. Mark Barnes has expressed interest in becoming the new Chairperson but was unable to attend the meeting due to illness.

Note from Chairperson

It is vital that those persons who do not want to see the end of Chamber attend the meetings, also businesses who pay there subscription but do not attend. It is only 1 ½ hours per month and can help businesses have a voice with regard to future plans for Welshpool.

like to thank local Councillors for their regular attendance at the Chamber meetings, unfortunately their numbers is often greater than Chamber members!!

The Meeting closed at 7.45pm.
