Winner of the 'Best Kept Village in Wales' award,

Berriew is one of the most charming scenic villages. Old black and white timbered buildings line the River Rhiw which winds its way through the village.

Berriew is home to Andrew Logan's Museum of Sculpture, he is a world-renowned artist famed for staging the first ever Alternative Miss World Contest! Silver Scenes where some of the finest crafted designs are on display is also well worth a visit.

Hidden in the heart of the Banwy Valley, Llanfair is a beautifully unspoilt market town.

The River Banwy flows through the town with an inviting riverside walk along which is an arboretum where 25 species of native British trees can be seen.

Llanfair is also home to the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway main station, where you will often find gleaming engines, carefully restored after years of labour. They were used for transporting sheep and cattle and carrying locally grown timber to Welshpool.

Traditionally an agricultural centre, the rural atmosphere in Llanfair town remains today.
