Wildlife Sites accessible in the Welshpool area

Wildlife and nature lovers can fill their days at any one of a dozen sites, the nearest to town being Llyn Coed y Dinas, which has a purpose built hide providing an ideal setting for photographers and watchers.

The local wildlife will almost certainly encompass your specific interest; discover some of the most rare floating water plantain and numerous different species of beautiful dragonfly on the Canal or perhaps search carefully for the Little Ringed Plover hidden along the lake margin of Llyn Coed-y-Dinas.

The Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust manage 10 nature reserves, all with public access, within close proximity of Welshpool. Please contact them for information on all reserves in the area.
