The Oak Inn is a 17th century black and white ex-farmhouse standing back from the road in the picturesque village of Guilsfield, 3 miles from Welshpool. Timber-framed, it sports many features and landlords, David and Helen, who have been at the Oak for more than three years, are continually building its reputation for hospitality for all ages and for home coooking that has earned great praise and several awards. A good range of beers and other drinks is served in the open-plan bar area and the extensive menus (including snacks and children's menu) provide a variety of tasty dishes both classic and more innovative, which can be taken in the non-smoking dining room.

The Oak Inn has a new enclosed children's play area where children can play safely. There is a large garden area and also a very attractive large patio area at the fromt of the pub, both with plenty of seating. Finally, there is ample parking, a warm welcome form the proprietors and their staff who will endeavour to cater for your every requirement.
