Getting to Welshpool
Welshpool is very easy to get to, whatever your choice of transport - we are nearer than you think as it is only 45 minutes to motorway links to the M54 and M56.

BY ROAD

Welshpool is at a crossroads of the A483 and the A458 allowing excellent access to the town from all points of the compass and is an easy drive away from Wales and England's major cities:

Manchester 1½ Hours

Cardiff 3 Hours

BY COACH

A National Express service runs once a day from Welshpool to London and vice-versa. For information call National Express on 08705 808 080 (Local agents - Oasis International Travel).

BY TRAIN

Welshpool Station is situated on the main Birmingham to Aberystwyth Line and offers regular services to those travelling by train. For information call 08457 48 49 50.

The Station is only a five-minute walk from the Town Centre.

BY AIR

Pilots of light aircraft can fly to Mid Wales Airport, just to the south of Welshpool. For information call 01938 555 062.

LOCAL BUS SERVICES

Regular bus services run from the main towns of Oswestry, Shrewsbury and Newtown as well as other routes. Contact Arriva Cymru Ltd on 0870 6082608 for details.

LONG STAY PARKING

Berriew Street near Somerfield Store  485 spaces

Berriew Road at Safeway Store 148 spaces

Church Street near Spar Store  544 spaces

Parking is free between 6pm and 8am for cars and light vehicles

Public conveniences can be found at the entrances of the Berriew and Church Street car parks

SHORT STAY PARKING

Seven Stars Road rear of Town Hall 60 spaces

ON STREET PARKING

On street parking is limited to 45 minutes and can be found in Broad Street, High Street and Mount Street

Disabled parking spaces can be found on the street and in all car parks
